Gentle and Restorative Yoga is a less intense practice of Yoga, and the movements are slower and more manageable. Gentle Yoga focuses on stretching, balancing, meditation, pranayama, and relaxation. Restorative Yoga is a practice that aims for total relaxation of the body and mind through resting poses. The emphasis is on the quality of the poses rather than the quantity. Both are great ways to exercise for people who have not been exercising for a long time, have some physical limitations, have chronic stress & pain, and have had minor surgery.
